Introduction

This royal garden is famous for its mountain and forest features. In history, the emperor would come here for hunting and leisure during the summer and autumn seasons. There are countless cultural relics and ancient sites in the park, including one of the "Eight Views of Yanjing" called "Clear Snow over West Mountain" and the "Biyun Temple" that gathers architectural styles from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Xiangshan's red leaves are famous both at home and abroad, and were selected as one of the "Sixteen New Sceneries of Beijing" as early as 1986, becoming one of the most intense colors in Beijing's autumn. The Plum Blossom Valley in Xiangshan Park has been built for more than ten years, with over 100 plum trees flourishing with small but bright-colored flowers. Feeling the warm winter sunshine, the bursts of fragrance are even more intoxicating.
