Introduction

The first large-scale modern national-level museum in China is located on the northwest side of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi'an. Its construction marks a new stage in the development of China's museum industry. The museum holds more than 370,000 precious cultural relics spanning over one million years of history, including various objects used in social life before 1840 and primitive stone tools from ancient times. The Shang and Zhou Dynasty bronze wares, pottery figurines and Tang Dynasty tomb murals are all considered world-class treasures and are exquisitely crafted. The museum is recognized as the "treasure house of China" and has unique artistic value and significance in showcasing ancient Chinese civilization and Shaanxi's historical and cultural heritage. It is a condensed essence of the Chinese nation's history and an outstanding representative of Shaanxi's historical and cultural heritage.
