Introduction

Located in the city center of Qingdao, this church was built in 1930 and was originally named St. Michael's Church. It is the largest Romanesque architecture in Qingdao and the only consecrated church in China. It was designed by German architect Bi Langha in a Gothic and Romanesque style, with a double-tower structure made of brick and stone. Inside the church, there are four large clocks and a spacious hall that is about 18 meters high. On both sides of the corridor, there are confessionals for priests to receive penitents. In addition, the church also has a valuable imported organ from Germany, which is only played during Sunday Mass.
