Introduction

Qingdao's Xiaoyao Island is known as the "Qin Island" because of its shape resembling a ancient Chinese musical instrument. From the white cone-shaped lighthouse on the island, visitors can overlook the entire sea view. At night, the red light of the lighthouse and the lights on the wharf flicker on the sea, creating the beautiful scenery of "Qinyu Piaodeng". This landscape is one of the top ten landscapes of Qingdao and also one of the city's symbols. Nowadays, the island has been opened as a park for tourists. The park is planted with mainly black pine trees and various flowering plants that bloom seasonally. In the flat southern part of the island, there is a very small square, and in the center of the square is a sculpture of a "Qin lady" holding an ancient Chinese musical instrument and facing the ocean.
