Introduction
Seal Bay is famous for its large number of Australian sea lions and is the only place where tourists can get up close with seals. Ecological information has been recorded since 1803, and until the first half of the 20th century, shark fishing boats often killed sea lions and seals as bait. However, due to the presence of underwater reefs, the boats couldn't get close to Seal Bay, thus avoiding this situation. In 1954, a marine reserve was established in Seal Bay, allowing sea lion populations to thrive and reproduce. There are now around 600 sea lions present, and they behave very humanely and are very tolerant of tourist arrivals. When tourists take photos, they pose nicely, providing vivid pictures for them.
