Introduction

Shodoshima Island, located in Shimane Prefecture of Japan, is known for its dry and rainy climate that is perfect for growing olives. As a result, olives have long been one of the representative specialties of the island, and olive oil has been successfully developed here. Surprisingly, in 1989, Shodoshima Island and Milos Island in the Aegean Sea of Greece became sister islands. To commemorate this friendship, a windmill was built in the park, which became a symbol of the park. The park also displays old equipment used for extracting olive oil, and visitors can see these machines in operation and even smell the aroma of freshly squeezed olive oil. Additionally, there is a bakery in the park, which appeared in the famous animated film "Kiki's Delivery Service."
