Introduction

People travel to the island of Capri and nearby Naples in southern Italy for the famous Blue Grotto. The surface of this natural sight is a sea blue, while the deep is a sky blue. The locals used to choose sunny days to go swimming because the blue sky makes the Blue Grotto even more beautiful. However, due to its high popularity, many people come to visit the Blue Grotto. To get to Capri from Naples, visitors need to take a boat and then follow up with public transportation or a small boat to reach the Blue Grotto. Taking a bus is more economical, and a speedboat is unnecessary as the Blue Grotto is not far away. Visitors should budget for the entrance fee, as they will have to wait in line for at least an hour for just five minutes of viewing time. Therefore, it is worthy to consider whether the trip is worth it. The Blue Grotto is located at the northwest corner of Capri Island and is known as one of the seven wonders of the world. Its entrance is below the sea level, under a cliff, and the channel is only 2 meters wide with a height of 85 centimeters above the sea level. However, the inside of the grotto is very spacious. When the sunlight shines through the entrance and reflects from the water in the grotto, a pool of seawater displays a crystal-clear blue color. The whole grotto is surrounded by blue, hence named the Blue Grotto. Visitors are advised to choose a sunny and calm day to visit.
