Introduction

Located next to the Raekoja Plats, the Tallinn Town Hall was built in the early 14th century and is a Gothic-style building. The statue of Toomas the Guardian has been standing on its roof since 1530 and become a symbol of Tallinn. Climbing the tower offers a view of the entire city. During the four-day Old Town Festival held every June, the entire square and town hall are filled with stalls, concerts, dances, and medieval-themed festivities, creating a very lively atmosphere.
