Tenaya Lake is situated at an altitude of 2450 meters and is named after an Indian chief. The lake is surrounded by mountains and has a blue, clear water, similar to lakes in China such as Haizi or Tianchi. The lake reflects the peaks of Polly Dome, Medlicott Dome, and Tenaya Peak.
