Introduction

The Hill of Three Crosses is a famous memorial building in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, located on the Hill of Three Crosses (also known as Bleak Hill in Lithuanian: Plikasis kalnas). This monument was built in 1916 and reconstructed in 1989. After being destroyed by the Soviet government, this building became a symbol and monument of Lithuanian nationalism. Nowadays, the Hill of Three Crosses has become a gathering place for local young people and tourists can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the entire city from here.
