Introduction
In 1982, a library was built facing Kim Il-sung Square in the center of Pyongyang, cleverly combining ancient and modern Korean architecture. The building is 100,000 square meters and has ten floors, making it an important center for reading and academic resources. The People's Study House is under the jurisdiction of the government and is responsible for leading the management work of libraries across the country. The library has approximately 30 million books, with foreign language books accounting for about 15 million.
