Introduction

The North Korean people use a legendary "thousand-mile horse" to symbolize their heroic spirit struggling economically. This bronze statue was built in April 1961, located on top of a 32-meter tower and composed of over 360 types of granite with 2500 pieces. The statue depicts a horse soaring with wings, carrying workers and farmers on its back, symbolizing the determination of the North Korean people to restore the weakened national economy after the war.
