Introduction

Located near the Mývatn Lake in Iceland, Goðafoss is a famous waterfall named after an ancient legend. It is said that in the year 999 or 1000 AD, Iceland converted to Christianity and the idols of the Norse gods worshipped by the Vikings were thrown into this waterfall.
