Introduction

St. Catherine's Monastery is a majestic Eastern Orthodox church named after the famous Mount Sinai. The church was built in 1846, and devout believers gathered there to practice prayer and devotion. At the same time, an older church was also housed in the monastery, built in 1695, which has weathered the ages and carries the sedimentation of faith from thousands of years.
