Introduction

The Triumphal Arch of Pyongyang, built in 1982, is located in the Triumphal Square at the foot of Mount Mokran, standing at a height of 60 meters, which is 10 meters higher than the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, with a large scale. On October 14, 1945, Kim Il-sung made his first speech here to the liberated people of Korea, pointing out the path that Korea should take after liberation, and calling on the Korean people to make positive contributions to the construction of their motherland. The front of the arch pillars is engraved with Mount Baekdu, "General Kim Il-sung's Song" and the year of Kim Il-sung's triumphal return, while the north and south walls depict images of the Korean people striving to build their country under the guidance of Kim Il-sung's teachings.
