Introduction
The Juche Tower, located on the banks of the Taedong River in the center of Pyongyang, is a tower of 70 sections that stands at a height of 170 meters. Built on April 15, 1982, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the birth of Kim Il-sung, it was created to commemorate his ideology of "Juche" which emphasizes on the primacy of the people and the spirit of self-reliance, self-sufficiency, and self-development.
