Introduction

In Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, tourists usually start from the Mansu Hill in the city center and present flowers to the bronze statue of Kim Il-sung. The statue was built to celebrate Kim Il-sung's 60th birthday in 1972. Behind the statue, there is a large mural with Baekdu Mountain as the theme, and on each side, there is a 22.5-meter-high and 50-meter-long memorial tower. Standing on the Mansu Hill, you can overlook the scenery of the Daedong River and see the Monument to the Party Founding and beautiful buildings on the other side of the river.
