Introduction

Phuket Aquarium, also known as the Marine Biological Research Center, was founded in 1983 and is located at the southernmost tip of Cape Panwa in Phuket Island. Although it is quite far from the city center and the views on both sides of the journey are mostly barren, the aquarium has outdoor aquariums with corals, various tropical fish, sea snakes, and an indoor 20-meter-long underwater world walkway. Additionally, on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00-11:30, there are feeding performances by divers. Compared to other large-scale aquariums, Phuket Aquarium is relatively small and it is not recommended to travel there except for tourists staying near Cape Panwa.
