Introduction

Shanghai Wild Animal Park is a theme park integrating wild animal breeding, exhibition, conservation, scientific education and leisure entertainment. It officially opened to the public on November 18, 1995. The park is located in Pudong, Shanghai, covering an area of approximately 2,300 acres, and is one of the first batch of 5A-level scenic spots in China. There are more than 200 rare wild animals from China and abroad living here, including giant pandas, golden monkeys, golden takins, oriental white storks, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, white rhinoceroses, and cheetahs, with a total number of over 10,000. Visitors can enjoy educational and entertaining experiences, viewing rare and wild animals up close, such as giant pandas, African elephants, Asian elephants, giraffes, chimpanzees, orangutans, lemurs, flamingos, and Oriental white storks, as well as witnessing many special animal behavior displays. Please note that from now on, smoking is prohibited throughout the park. For the health of you, other visitors and the animals, please do not smoke in the park.
