Introduction

Jin Suo Guan, one of the Five Great Mountains of Huashan, is a necessary route to reach the East, West, South, and Central peaks. Its main feature is to pray for safety through the Golden Lock, and tying a lock is an indispensable experience on a Huashan trip. The iron ropes on both sides of the mountain are covered with couples' locks and safety locks, which are piled up one after another, and the red ropes and colorful threads float in the wind, creating a beautiful scenery on Huashan. However, it should be noted that the temperature is low when climbing the mountain, so thick clothes should be brought, and military coats can be rented on the mountain.

Transportation

The Jinshuo Pass is located inside the East Peak of Huashan Scenic Area. Click here for transportation to Huashan. 1. Take a train to Huashan Station, then transfer to a bus to reach the scenic area for 3 yuan; or take a taxi to the scenic area for around 15-20 yuan. 2. If arriving at Huashan North Station (high-speed rail station), there is a tourist line in front of the station that goes to Huashan Visitor Center or Huashan Yuquan Court (starting point for hiking). The tourist line costs 10 yuan/person. 3. Xi'an East Bus Station has several long-distance buses to Huayin City every day from 7:00-19:15, with a departure every 15 minutes. The bus will stop at Huashan and passengers should tell the driver to get off at "Huashan". Route to reach the East Peak: From the main entrance of Huashan Scenic Area, take the scenic area's electric car to Yuquan Court. Then begin the hiking journey by first climbing the North Peak (which is an intermediate station for hiking to other peaks) and passing through Jinshuo Pass, Canglong Ridge, and Middle Peak. After descending from the Middle Peak, climbers can start climbing the East Peak.
