Introduction

The Western Xia Tombs, known as the "mysterious miracle" and "Oriental Pyramids," are the imperial tombs and royal mausoleums of the Western Xia dynasty. It is also one of the largest and most intact imperial tombs in China with important historical value. The Western Xia Tombs consist of nine imperial tombs and 271 accompanying tombs of royal relatives, with magnificent scale and orderly layout, comparable to the Ming Tombs. Based on the strengths of imperial tombs since the Qin and Han dynasties, the Western Xia Tombs also incorporate the influence of Buddhist architecture, forming a unique form of Chinese tomb architecture. Tourists can also visit facilities such as the Western Xia Museum, Western Xia Historical Art Museum, and Western Xia Stele Forest to better understand the history of the Western Xia.

The Western Xia Imperial Tombs are located at the foot of the Helan Mountains in the western suburbs of Yinchuan City, about 30 kilometers away from the urban area.
