Introduction
The Nan Ya, also known as the Kaifeng Prefecture, was the administrative and judicial agency of the Northern Song capital and was hailed as the capital of the world. It was the largest in size among the official agencies of all dynasties, equivalent to the present-day Beijing Municipal Government. Its grand architecture complements the waters of the Three Lakes, forming a magnificent scenery of "East Palace, West Temple, Towers, and Blue Waters".
