This academy located in the Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area is one of the four famous academies in Chinese history, with a history of over a thousand years. The academy is known for preserving a large number of inscription relics, including the Tang Dynasty's "Lu Shan Temple Inscription" and the Song Dynasty Emperor Huizong's handwritten "Yuelu Academy" stone inscription. In addition, on the small hill of the Qiong Maple Gorge behind the academy, there is a building called the Ai Wan Pavilion, which was a place that Chairman Mao Zedong often visited during his youth.
