Nanao is the only island county in Guangdong and the only 4A-level tourist scenic spot among the 14 island counties in the country. Nanao consists of Nanao Island and 35 surrounding islands, with a main island area of approximately 111.73 square kilometers and a sea area of approximately 4,600 square kilometers, located in the sea area where Fujian, Guangdong, and Taiwan meet.
