Introduction

Gem Goddess Mountain, also known as Lion Mountain by locals, reaches a height of 3754.7 meters and is one of the highest peaks around Lugu Lake. According to a legend among the local Mosuo people, "Gem" means white goddess in the Lion Mosuo language and is regarded as the incarnation of the Gem Goddess. Lion Mountain is majestic and towering, and during the Turning Mountain Festival, the Mosuo people visit the mountain to pray. Additionally, visitors can enjoy spectacular karst cave scenery, experience thrilling downhill slides, and capture panoramic views of Lugu Lake.
