Introduction

This square was originally built during the Russian occupation and was later renamed as the Grand Square during the Japanese occupation. After liberation, it was renamed as Zhongshan Square in memory of Mr. Sun Yat-sen. Zhongshan Square has a circular radial shape, with 10 major roads radiating outwards in all directions. The surrounding buildings were built in the early 20th century and feature different architectural styles such as Romanesque and Gothic. For those who love taking pictures, the Western-style buildings in Zhongshan Square are a very good scenic spot.
