Introduction

Rizhao Ocean Park is a brand-new tourist attraction featuring an oceanarium and a botanical garden showcasing marine and terrestrial ecosystems. The complex includes the Sunshine Oceanarium, Four Seasons Botanical Garden, an ocean-themed hotel, ocean-themed shopping center, outdoor park, and waterfowl world, among other core attractions. It is located in the Rizhao Olympic Water Park, close to the Wanpingkou scenic area and Dongyi Town. With a total investment of about 1 billion yuan and covering an area of approximately 161.7 acres, the park has a building area of about 50,000 square meters. On December 27, 2021, Rizhao Ocean Park was rated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction. The main exhibition areas of the Sunshine Oceanarium include Shark Bay, Sea Beast Island, Silver Storm, Coral Tunnel, Ocean Light, Blue Whale Science Popularization Club, Dolphin Performance Venue, Jellyfish Wonder, Penguin World, and Ocean Theater. The main exhibition areas of the Four Seasons Botanical Garden include the Otter Family, Tropical Rainforest, Jungle Adventure, Cute Pet Corner, Sky Flower Sea, and Clear Bar. Here, visitors can admire various rare freshwater fish and reptiles and interact with adorable pets such as otters, parrots, toucans, and capybaras. Similarly, the hanging flower displays and interactions with small mammals are also popular with visitors.

① Train station: Take bus route 33 towards Wangjiazo, get off at Rizhao Ocean Park and walk east to reach the park; ② University Town: Take bus route 32 to Dongyi Xiaozhen East bus stop, and walk east to reach the destination. ③ Rizhao West Comprehensive Passenger Transport Station: Take bus route K1 to Yizhong East School bus stop, and walk to the scenic area. ④ Old city area: Get on bus route 10 at Donggang District Government Station, get off at Taigong Island Garden Station, and walk to Rizhao Ocean Park. ⑤ Central vitality area tourist special line: Wanpingkou Scenic Area → Wealth Center → Lighthouse Square → Bibao Hotel → Science and Technology Museum → Swimming Pool → Dongying Road Shan Haitian Road → Dongyi Xiaozhen (get off at this stop and walk to the scenic area) → Colorful Vitality Park → Wanpingkou Scenic Area.
