Abisko Aurora Sky Station is acclaimed as one of the best places in the world to observe the Northern Lights. It is an ideal spot for aurora observation, located at the top of Mount Nuolja. Although it is not large, it has a cozy little restaurant where you can enjoy a local specialty dinner and have a cup of hot tea or coffee. The small indoor exhibition and enthusiastic guides will provide you with a wealth of knowledge about the Northern Lights.
Lake Torneträsk
Lake Torneträsk, located in Abisko, Sweden, is a well-known lake in northwestern Sweden. Lake Torneträsk is seventy kilometers long and covers an area of more than three hundred square kilometers. It is the source of the Torne River. The lake water drains southeast through the Torne River. There are campsites of the Sami people along the lake shore.
