Momiji Tunnel
Located on the mountain road between Eizan Electric Railway's Ichihara Station and Ninose Station, this 250-meter-long section is a beautiful journey for viewing autumn leaves. On nights when the autumn leaves are illuminated, the Eizan train slows down on this section, giving passengers ample time to enjoy the magnificent scenery outside the windows. Eizan Electric Railway offers two types of trains: a regular carriage and the 'Kirara' observation train, which features large panoramic windows. During the autumn leaf viewing season, it is highly recommended to take the observation train to better appreciate the stunning autumn foliage.
Tsuta Numa
The Tsuta Numa area boasts a pristine natural environment. In the morning, under the sunlight, the mountains exhibit a fiery red color. As the sun rises, the color of the mountains gradually changes from yellow to light red, displaying a rich array of colors. Walking here, one can feel the surprise and enjoyment brought by this beautiful scenery.
Mount Yoshino
Mount Yoshino is a famous mountain in Nara Prefecture, Japan, renowned for its abundant cherry blossoms. Every spring, thousands of pink cherry blossoms bloom across the mountain, creating a breathtaking scene known as 'Yoshino Senbonzakura.' From the foot to the summit, countless cherry trees are planted, welcoming the arrival of spring. Mount Yoshino is famous for its blooming cherry blossoms and is divided into four areas. Every April, from 'Senbon at the foot' to 'Senbon in the mountains,' the cherry blossoms bloom in succession, creating a spectacular view. In addition to the cherry blossoms in spring, the red maple leaves in autumn and the snow-covered scenery in winter are equally enchanting.
Shiretoko Five Lakes
Shiretoko Five Lakes are five major lakes located in the Shari town area of Hokkaido, and are a major tourist attraction on the Shiretoko Peninsula. These five lakes were formed by the accumulation of volcanic eruptions, resulting in solidified lakes surrounded by forests, creating extremely beautiful scenery. Kunen-an
Kunen-an is famous for its autumn foliage. It was originally built as a villa by the great entrepreneur Yataro Itami, taking nine years to complete, with a garden area of 6,400 square meters. The garden is set against the backdrop of Mount Unzen and the Chikushi Plain, featuring over 700 maple trees of more than 60 varieties, interspersed with azaleas and moss plants. In spring, the garden is filled with greenery; in autumn, it transforms into a sea of red leaves, making it a renowned spot for autumn leaf viewing in Saga. It attracts a lot of attention from tourists as it is only open to the public during the maple leaf season in mid-November each year.
