Riddarholmen Church
Riddarholmen Church has a long history and is one of the most famous churches in Sweden. Some of its buildings can even be traced back to the 13th century. It is also the burial church for generations of Swedish monarchs.
Many kings in Swedish history are buried here, including Gustav V, who died in 1950. Visitors can see many royal coffins inside.
Storkyrkan, Stockholm Cathedral
The formal name of Stockholm Cathedral is St. Nicholas Church. It is the oldest church in the old town of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, and an important example of Swedish brick Gothic architecture. It is adjacent to the Stockholm Royal Palace and is the main passage to the palace, located at the western end of the Royal Palace slope.
Katarina Church Katarina kyrka
Katarina Church is a church located on the island of Stockholm, built in 1695. It was destroyed by several fires and the current building was completed in 1995. Many famous Swedes are buried here, and the organ is well worth seeing.
St. Jacob's Church (S:t Jacobs kyrka)
St. Jacob's Church is located in the center of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, surrounded by the King's Garden, the Royal Swedish Opera, Gustav Adolf Square, and close to Sergels Torg, the Stockholm Palace, and government offices. It features various architectural styles, such as Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque.
S:ta Clara kyrka
Klara Church is a church located in the center of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. The church was originally built in the 1280s. During the reign of Gustav Vasa in 1527, the old church was destroyed. The current church was built during the reign of John III in 1572.
Klara Church is near the train station, situated among narrow streets, making it difficult to capture its full view. Coming out of Klara Church, you will find yourself on Queen Street.
