Memphis and its Necropolis – the Pyramid Fields
The largest and most famous pyramids in Egypt are the three pyramids located on the Giza Plateau in the suburbs of Cairo, the capital of Egypt. Besides the well-known Pyramid of Khufu, the other two are the Pyramid of Khafre and the Pyramid of Menkaure. These three pyramids are collectively known as the Great Pyramids. If you don't have much time in Egypt, visiting the Giza Pyramids is enough.
The Valley of the Kings is located in the desert on the west bank of the ancient city of Luxor. It is the burial site of more than sixty pharaohs of ancient Egypt and their relics. However, the main tombs open for visitors include the tomb of Tutankhamun, the tombs of Ramses III and VI, and the tomb of Seti I. Most of the tomb walls and ceilings are covered with murals or totems, some decorated with gold reliefs, and are brightly colored and magnificent.
When visiting the various temples in Luxor, besides walking inside to see the interior scenery of the temples, you can also take a hot air balloon ride to overlook these ancient buildings from above, which is a wonderful experience. The prices for the Luxor hot air balloon project vary widely, ranging from 200 EGP to 200 USD. The reason for such a large difference is due to the different contents included in the hot air balloon projects, such as whether there is insurance and whether the pilot has a formal license, which all affect the price. It is recommended to purchase hot air balloon tickets in advance.
Red Sea
For snorkeling in the Red Sea, the most recommended spots are three small islands: Giftun Island, Paradise Island, and Mahyma Island. The seawater around these islands is exceptionally clear, appearing green or blue under the sunlight. While snorkeling, you can clearly see the brightly colored corals and small fish swimming around you. Opting for a day tour is the best choice for snorkeling, as it not only provides diving equipment but also includes transportation.
Black and White Desert
Starting from Cairo, traveling along the highway, passing through crystal mines, accompanied by swirling sandstorms, and bumping all the way, you will encounter the black sand mountains rising abruptly in the boundless wilderness, white sand like snowfields, and wind-eroded white mushroom rocks that together create this unique landscape. When you come to Egypt, camping in the Black and White Desert is a must-do. In the evening, watch the sunset, join a bonfire party, and gaze at the starry sky from your tent. The sky above seems to be studded with diamonds, so bright and so low, everything exists in a dreamy yet real way.
Unfinished Obelisk
The Unfinished Obelisk stands 40 meters tall and weighs 1200 tons. This obelisk lies quietly in the quarry, with one-meter-wide trenches carved around it, separating it from the mountain. The obelisk bears no inscriptions, and due to the passage of time, it now has cracks. These cracks constantly remind us of the passage of time and silently tell the ancient stories of this old land.
