Most people who have been to Emmental believe it is the most beautiful place in Switzerland. Here you can find the most classic Swiss pastoral scenery: rolling emerald green meadows under the blue sky, leisurely cows and sheep, and wooden cottages scattered like stars. Not only is the scenery beautiful, but it is also one of the three major cheese-producing regions in Switzerland. The holey cheese that Jerry craves in 'Tom and Jerry' is called Emmental. To protect the diversity and traditional characteristics of cheese, Swiss national law stipulates that a region can only produce cheese from that region.
