Guangxi self-driving travel guide, scenic spots in Jingxi, a secluded paradise-like small town away from the world

When it comes to Guangxi, most people first think of Guilin, known as the "best under heaven." However, besides Guilin, Guangxi has many breathtaking landscapes that are equally stunning, and the best part is that there are fewer people. It is truly not to be missed.

Gulongshan Canyon Group

The Gulongshan Canyon Group consists of three canyons: Gulao Grand Canyon, Xinling Grand Canyon, and Xinqiao Grand Canyon. The scenic area is right at the drop-off point, and most visitors take a rafting trip through three underground river caves: Yingbin Cave, Baifu Cave, and Shuilian Cave.
Tongling Grand Canyon Scenic Area is located in Xinling Village, Hurun Town, 32 kilometers southeast of Jingxi County. It is at the southern end of the Gulongshan Water Source Forest Nature Reserve, 230 kilometers from Nanning, the capital of Guangxi, and 29 kilometers from Detian Transnational Waterfall. The canyon is composed of Nianba Gorge, Tongling Gorge, Gulao Gorge, Xinling Gorge, and Xinqiao Gorge, with a total length of more than 10 kilometers. The pool is an ascending spring, which is the outlet of a large underground river. The water is unfathomably deep, and the spring water surges up to form a lake, formerly known as Anhu. It covers more than 20 acres. According to ancient legends, a dragon is hidden in the deep water, hence the name Dalongtan. It is one of the eight scenic spots of Jingxi.
Quyang Lake is a large karst plateau lake reservoir. The lake is 15 kilometers long and 1 kilometer at its widest point, making it the second largest artificial lake in Baise City. The water quality is excellent, with more than a dozen islands of various sizes. Along the shore, there is the Baxing Mountain with an altitude of over a thousand meters, as well as hundreds of Zhuang ethnic stilted villages nestled among green trees and bamboo.
