Beichuan Yuxue Valley
Mianyang Yuxue Valley Scenic Area features a 3.75km long canyon with pristine natural scenery and historical relics of Yu the Great. The valley is dense with forests, fragrant with vines and flowers, and boasts deep ravines, cascading waterfalls, and well-preserved forest vegetation. The area offers Qiang ethnic song and dance performances, special roasted whole lamb, beautiful local customs, hiking, rock climbing, camping, and water activities, making it an ideal summer leisure destination. The scenic area still preserves the calligraphy of Li Bai and Yan Zhenqing from their visits to Yuxue. It is a lesser-known summer resort with a rich cultural heritage, perfect for tourism and sightseeing.
Wenchuan Cherry Picking
Sanguanmiao Village is the earliest place in Wenchuan County where cherries mature. Almost every household here grows cherries. Under the sunlight, in the nearly 200-acre cherry picking area, the green branches are adorned with plump and sweet purple-red cherries.
Qionglai Zhuxi Lake
This has always been a favorite spot for fishing enthusiasts in Chengdu because it is very close to Chengdu, just a little over an hour or two by car. The fish here are plump and tender, with a delicate and fresh taste. There are many farmhouses nearby, and the fish you catch can be easily prepared into delicious meals.
Cifeng Town Lotus Lake
Gather a few friends and come to the Lotus Lake Water Town. Here, you will find many lakeside fishing houses, farmhouses, fishing and shrimping spots, fruit picking, lake tours, amusement facilities, and hiking trails. It is a perfect vacation spot. The freshly caught shrimp are immediately sent to the kitchen, where their transparent bodies turn bright red when cooked. Dip them in some refreshing sauce, and the taste is simply amazing.
