TV tower
The Daqing Sartu District Radio and Television Tower is located at No.1 Jia, Dongfeng Road, with a total height of 260 meters, a tower height of 159 meters, and an antenna pole height of 101 meters. It is the first all-steel structure TV tower in Heilongjiang Province. Apart from Shanghai's Oriental Pearl, Tianjin's Central Radio and Television Tower, Jiangsu's Radio and Television Tower, and Liaoning's Radio and Television Tower, it is the sixth tallest tower in the country. The Daqing Radio and Television Tower was built in September 1989, located on the north side of the skybridge of the State Administration of Radio and Television building. It is a symbol of the social development of Daqing.
Daqing Oil Museum
After leaving the TV station, passing by the China Radio and Television Tower, I went to visit the Daqing Oil Museum on the other side of the road. The Daqing Oil Museum, also known as "Oil Cube", is a free attraction that must be visited with a tour guide in groups. It was originally the China Oil Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo and was jointly built by China National Petroleum Corporation, Sinopec, and China National Offshore Oil Corporation. It was relocated here in 2011 and mainly consists of various oil-themed exhibition halls.
Times Square
Compared with Tiananmen Square, Daqing Times Square has an area 1 million square meters larger and is a large recreational square. The square includes green forest, assembly plaza, and Wanbao Lake.
Daqing Iron Man Wang Jinxin Memorial Hall
In 1960, Comrade Wang Jinxi, the "Iron Man," led the brave oil workers to establish this beautiful city in the wilderness. The memorial hall is shaped like the word "worker" from an aerial view, forming the character "work" when viewed from the side, with a drill bit design on the top. The entire building is 47 meters high, and there are 47 steps from the main entrance of the memorial hall to the second-floor platform, symbolizing the extraordinary life journey of the Iron Man for 47 years.
It is mainly composed of a sunlit hall, an entrance hall, 8 permanent exhibition halls, and 1 temporary exhibition hall. It focuses on showcasing the technological innovation and development process of the Daqing Oilfield over the past 50 years, as well as the progress in exploration and development technologies and supporting engineering technologies. It has a prominent structure, combines static and dynamic elements, and is fully functional. It is a large modern professional science and technology museum reflecting the theme of petroleum technology.
