Gansu Longnan - a place of earthly paradise

The only area in Gansu Province that belongs to the Yangtze River basin is Longnan. It has a mild climate, abundant rainfall, winding streams, and a high forest coverage rate, earning it the reputation of being a "Shangjiangnan in Long" and a "Peach Blossom Land outside the World". As a natural boundary between the north and south of China, Longnan is a region where Han ethnic group and other ethnic groups such as Hui, Tibetan, and Qiang people live together. It has a unique geographical location, profound regional cultural heritage, and has formed distinctive natural and cultural landscapes.

Guan'e Valley National Forest Park integrates natural and cultural landscapes such as forest landscapes, grassland landscapes, geomorphological landscapes, water landscapes, and astronomical landscapes. The lake water is like pearls, the canyons are like lines, the waterfalls are like weaving, the distribution of flora and fauna is diverse, the ecological environment is beautiful, and the landscapes are unique. Additionally, more than 3,000 people of Tibetan and Qiang ethnic groups live in the park, maintaining unique clothing and customs, making it a good subject for folk tourism.

Wanxiang Cave

Located halfway up the mountain in Yangpang Village, Hanwang Town, Wudu District, Longnan City, Gansu Province, about 10 kilometers from the city center. This cave has a history of 250 to 300 million years. It is a large-scale cave with high artistic value discovered in northwest China. It features the spectacular karst landscapes of the northern region and the delicate karst landscapes of the southern region. There are a total of 11 tourist spots and more than 120 larger scenic spots, arranged in the form of three major cave heavens: Moon Palace, Heavenly Palace, and Dragon Palace.

Yunping Three Gorges Resort

Yunping Three Gorges, located in Yunping Township, Liangdang County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is a national 4A scenic area with a high forest coverage rate. It is named 'Yunping Three Gorges' because of the three gorges: 'Dixia Gorge', 'Guanyin Gorge', and 'Xigou Gorge'. The scenic area boasts beautiful and diverse natural landscapes, with peculiar peaks and rocks, towering cliffs, hanging dead pines, rushing waterfalls, and clear mountains and waters. A poem praises it: 'Heishui City, four gates, connecting Bashu, silent Qinlong.'

Hadapu

Located at the foot of Minshan Mountain, Hadapu was a significant site in 1935 when the Second and Third Front Armies of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army broke through the encirclement of the Kuomintang reactionaries and made crucial strategic decisions to resist Japanese aggression and save the nation. This event marked a glorious chapter in the history of the Chinese revolution. The Hadapu Red Army Long March Memorial Hall, established in 1978, was designated as a provincial key cultural relic protection unit by the People's Government of Gansu Province in October 1971.

Tianchi

Located in the upper reaches of Yangtang River in Wen County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, the scenic area includes Wen County Tianchi National Forest Park, Wen County Huanglinggou National Wetland Park, and Wen County Tianchi Provincial Geological Park. It is a large scenic area composed of Yangtang Tianchi, Huanglinggou, Penjingchi, and Yinmachi, and is one of the top ten tourist attractions in Gansu.
