Jiuzhaigou Valley in Gansu Province is known as "Swan Lake Valley"

Guan'e Gou is located 2.5 kilometers from Dangchang County town in Longnan City, Gansu Province. It is a combination of a national AAAA scenic spot, a national forest park, and a national geological park. In July 2017, Guan'e Gou joined the Chinese Love Theme Scenic Area Alliance along with ten other well-known domestic scenic spots, such as Tianyahaijiao Scenic Area in Sanya, Hainan. Guan'e Gou consists of three main attractions: the eastern line (Guanzhu Gou), the western line (Emang Gou), and Leigu Mountain. In spring, the mountains are filled with blooming flowers; in summer, the shade of the trees brings coolness and joy; in autumn, the maple leaves turn red, painting a vibrant picture; and in winter, ice crystals form on the trees and waterfalls, creating a sparkling scene. It showcases both the majestic beauty of the northern regions and the graceful charm of the southern regions. Furthermore, more than 3,000 Tibetans and Qiang people live within the park, preserving their unique clothing and customs, making it a great destination for cultural tourism.

Yangma Ancient City

Yangma Ancient City is an ancient fortress site. To this day, the ruins of the front city, middle city, and rear city can still be seen. It is one of the representative attractions of Dangchang's ancient tourism. Walking into the ancient site of Dangchang, standing in front of the remnants of history, the withered mugwort grass year after year, and the Minjiang River (a tributary of the Minjiang and Bailong Rivers) flowing eastward, seem to tell us the vicissitudes of life and the changes over time.

Guan'e Sleeping Buddha

The Dayan Sleeping Buddha is a mountain landscape that can be clearly seen from the viewing platform when looking southeast. According to legend, he transformed into Buddha to preserve the scriptures in Guan'e Valley and protect the local people of Guan'e, thus he is highly revered in the area.

Ming Lake

Ming Lake is the largest lake in Guan'e Valley, consisting of two lakes, one long and one round. The two lakes are shaped like the 'sun' and the 'moon', hence the name 'Ming' Lake. It has now been developed into the Guan'e Valley Water Park, making it a popular destination for leisure and vacation.

Princess Lake

Princess Lake in Guan'e Valley is the most beautiful lake in the area. Why is it called Princess Lake? One reason is that the lake is extremely beautiful, showcasing the delicate and feminine beauty of nature. Another reason is the beautiful legend associated with it: In ancient times, the daughter of the Heavenly King loved the beautiful scenery of Guan'e and often came here to play. Later, she fell in love with a diligent and brave Qiang youth from the local area. When the Heavenly King found out, he sent people to capture the princess and bring her back to the heavens. However, the princess was deeply in love with the youth and did not want to leave. She transformed into a pool of clear water to stay in Guan'e forever. The youth also leaped into the water, pledging his life to her. In later generations, to commemorate the princess and the youth who pursued true love, the lake was named Princess Lake.

Five Waterfalls Gorge

Five Waterfalls Gorge is one of the most exquisite attractions in Guan'e Valley. Within the long and secluded gorge, five uniquely shaped waterfalls are densely distributed, making the gorge vibrant and colorful. Entering here feels like stepping into a legendary paradise. The Dragon Whisker Waterfall, the White Ribbon Waterfall, and the Guan'e Heavenly Waterfall are the representative waterfall landscapes in Guan'e Valley. At the entrance of Panlong Gorge, the Dragon Whisker Waterfall pours out from a cave halfway up the mountain. Panlong Gorge resembles a dragon's body, while the Dragon Whisker Waterfall hangs down like the whiskers of a dragon, creating a very unique structure. The White Ribbon Waterfall is located in the Twin Waterfalls Gorge, where a water curtain tens of meters high rushes straight down from the mountain top, pure white like water, resembling a long and wide hada (a ceremonial scarf), living up to its name. The Guan'e Heavenly Waterfall is the essence of Guan'e Valley. Without visiting the Guan'e Heavenly Waterfall, it is as if you haven't truly visited Guan'e Valley. Its magnificence and awe-inspiring presence cannot be described with words; only by seeing it with your own eyes can you truly appreciate it.
