The latest night view landmark in New York! The original site of the World Trade Center, destroyed in the 9/11 attacks in 2001, has now become two large memorial pools. As part of a reconstruction plan spanning over a decade, the tallest building, One World Trade Center, was rebuilt and completed in 2013 and opened in 2014. The top three floors, 100-102, feature an all-around observation deck that allows visitors to enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of New York. The view includes the Statue of Liberty, Governors Island, and Jersey City across the Hudson River in New Jersey, offering a broader perspective than the observation decks of the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center.
This is probably the most iconic skyscraper in New York. It is the 5th tallest building in the Americas and the 29th tallest in the world. There are observation decks on the 86th and 102nd floors. It is recommended to visit during sunset and at night to enjoy the stunning 360-degree night view of New York from above, which will definitely leave you in awe.
Top of the Rock
Located in the heart of New York City at Rockefeller Center, it is a famous observation deck in New York. On clear days, you can enjoy a view that extends up to 130 kilometers! From here, you can see the rivers and harbors of Manhattan, and one of the great advantages of this spot is that you can see the Empire State Building itself, which you can't see when you're inside the Empire State Building.
Brooklyn Bridge & Promenade
This famous suspension bridge spans the East River in New York, with a total length of about 1843 meters, connecting Brooklyn and Manhattan. From the Brooklyn Bridge, you can see the beautiful reflection of New York in the water. Walking along the promenade, you can enjoy the night view of Manhattan's streets.
This is an abandoned elevated railway. Don't be misled by the word 'abandoned'; it is now a representative high-altitude urban park in New York. The park is equipped with seating areas where you can rest or even have a picnic. The lush green plants add a lot of vitality to this city full of skyscrapers. At night, you can enjoy the skyline of New York and the views of the Hudson River and skyscrapers from above.
The View
This is the only rooftop revolving restaurant in New York. The restaurant is built with glass windows all around, offering a panoramic view of New York's nightscape from the 48th floor. It completes a full 360-degree rotation every hour. Located within the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel, the drinks and dining are also memorable, making it a perfect spot for a date!
Le Bain Rooftop Bar
This highly renowned rooftop bar is very atmospheric, offering not only beautiful views but also delicious drinks. From here, you can see the glowing Manhattan and New Jersey at night, set against the backdrop of the Hudson River. Additionally, big-name DJs often perform here, making it a favorite among young people.
Circle Line Harbor Lights Cruise
You can enjoy 2 hours of beautiful scenery and sunset on this cruise. The cruise will pass by the World Trade Center, Ellis Island, The Statue of Liberty, and Brooklyn Bridge. New York at night looks like a shining gem, offering scenes you can only see in movies. Although the adult ticket costs $40, I think it's really worth it.
When it comes to scenic spots, Long Island City must be mentioned. It is located in Queens, southeast of New York City, on an island opposite the East River from Manhattan. The view is like seeing an HD landscape on a computer desktop. Gantry Plaza State Park, adjacent to the riverbank, offers a view of the Midtown Manhattan skyline from across the river. If you want something fancier, you can also visit the rooftop lounges of nearby Z NYC Hotel or Ravel Hotel.
Fort Tryon Park
Covering 67 acres, Fort Tryon Park is the highest park in Manhattan and was also the site of the Battle of Fort Washington during the American Revolutionary War. The atmosphere here is peaceful and serene, surrounded by lush trees, with few tourists, making it quite tranquil. You can also enjoy views of the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge. Additionally, Fort Tryon Park houses a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Cloisters Museum and Gardens, which is named for its design that mimics a medieval European monastery. Some of the building materials were brought from France. The Cloisters Museum showcases exhibits related to Western medieval art and architecture and is a New York City landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Cantor Roof Garden Bar @ The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Located on the rooftop of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, this bar offers a chance to sip drinks while enjoying the beautiful view of Central Park. The surroundings are adorned with sculptures by French artist Pierre Huyghe, making it the most artistic way to enjoy the night view!
