Taste of New York - A Collection of New York Cuisine

As a bona fide foodie, figuring out what and where to eat is undoubtedly a major highlight of every trip. New York, being a diverse international metropolis, boasts a multitude of flavors and a variety of restaurants from around the world, making it a paradise for food lovers. In just eight days, it was impossible to try everything, so here's a list of the places I selected for your reference! The restaurant choices this time were quite diverse, ranging from fine dining to homestyle, classic American to European cuisines, and more. Since I wanted to avoid Chinese food during this trip, I didn't visit any Chinese restaurants, although Flushing is probably a must-visit for Chinese cuisine.

Friday Restaurant

T.G.I.Friday's (Thank Goodness, It's Friday's) is a well-known American chain restaurant that serves traditional American homestyle cuisine. It's named after the popular phrase "Thank God It's Friday" and has over 400 locations in several countries. The restaurant's logo features a red and white striped awning, and the dining atmosphere is casual and relaxed, making it a great place for singles and families to gather and have fun.

Applebee's Grill + Bar

Applebee's restaurant is a famous restaurant in the United States with multiple chain stores in New York. This particular one is located in Times Square, New York, with excellent geographical location. It serves traditional American home-style dishes such as onion rings, burgers, salads, and steaks at affordable prices, with generous portions and quick service. There are also a variety of meal deals to choose from, including special kids' meals.

Ladur e New York Madison

This is almost one of the must-visit tourist projects. A boutique pastry shop, reputedly serving the best macarons in the country. Their signature dish is macarons, available in a variety of flavors, with bright and beautiful colors, and crispy shell and fluffy filling. Credit cards are accepted, but reservations are not.

Hershey Chocolate Factory (Times Square Store)

Most of the time, Hershey's chocolate is sold in supermarkets, but this Hershey's store in Times Square is filled with chocolate and even has limited edition chocolates for sale.

Le Cirque

Famous French circus restaurant. The environment is clean and elegant, but a bit crowded. The dishes are exquisite and the portions are moderate. There are also wine pairings available. Some online users have reported that the taste of the dishes may not be very compatible with Chinese preferences. There are dress restrictions, and credit cards are accepted. Reservations are also accepted.
A pastry bakery that became popular due to the TV show "Sex and the City." There are five branches just in Manhattan alone, each with its own unique specialties and highlights. It's recommended to try their signature pastries at each location.

Sardi

Sardi's Restaurant is located in the theater district in the heart of New York City, serving traditional American cuisine. The restaurant is decorated with portraits, including those of famous celebrities. Sardi's accepts reservations and creates a cozy atmosphere that is suitable for both business and private gatherings. In addition to delicious food, Sardi's also sells souvenirs such as t-shirts and mugs.

Amazing 3

This restaurant is located in the Upper East Side and specializes in American cuisine and desserts, and is very popular. It is also a filming location for the movie "Serendipity". The restaurant has mixed reviews, but it doesn't change the fact that it is extremely popular - you may need to wait in line for a long time if you don't make a reservation. Be sure to try the desserts when you come here. Credit cards are accepted and reservations are welcomed.

Gabriela's Restaurant

Gabriela's restaurant is located in the Upper West Side of New York City in the United States. Junior's Restaurant & Bakery

This is an American chain dessert shop that offers various meals and breakfast options, but the most famous item is their cheesecake. The cheesecake here comes in a wide variety of flavors and is a must-try food. However, according to locals in the US, the most authentic one is the original shop in Brooklyn, while other stores tend to cater more to tourists.

Tasti D. Lite Ice Cream Shop

Tasti D. Lite is an ice cream shop located in New York City, USA, with multiple branches throughout the city.

Popover Cafe Cafe

Popover Cafe is an affordable cafe located in Manhattan, New York, USA. They serve American-style meals and coffee, with recommended dishes including eclairs, pancakes, and unique omelets with salmon, cheese, and scallions. The cafe is great for family gatherings and allows visitors to experience local cuisine. They also offer takeout services and are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on weekdays, as well as brunch on weekends and holidays, with their brunch being widely praised for its quality.
