Shopping in Chicago

Chicago, being such a bustling city, is certainly not lacking in various shops. Its commercial atmosphere is just as vibrant as New York City, with the towering skyscrapers in the Loop serving as a testament to that. There are plenty of shopping options as well! In addition to the Loop, students who enjoy museum shops can also visit the Art Institute of Chicago's gift shop. Personally, I am fond of museum and art gallery shops. And, of course, there are also some outlets that shouldn't be missed.

Known as the Fifth Avenue of Chicago, but honestly, it doesn't have much uniqueness. It's just quite bustling with many shopping stores and high-end hotels. The so-called bustling atmosphere feels quite similar to many other cities. However, there are indeed many stores!

North State Street

This street has the second largest Macy's department store in the world, as well as numerous restaurants. You can buy many internationally renowned designer goods here. The transportation in the Loop is also very convenient. There are many famous shops, enough for you to explore.

Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago

If you are an art enthusiast or a designer, the museum shop at the Museum of Contemporary Art is a great choice. In addition to items that correspond with the regular exhibits, you can also purchase items from the current special exhibitions, though the prices are not very low.

Oak Street Bootmakers

Oak Street has many stores, mainly selling luxury clothing, jewelry, shoes, and accessories. However, many stores require appointments to make purchases... It is indeed very high-end, but you can still enjoy window shopping!
This place is a bit far from Chicago, mostly featuring common brands. It doesn't feel as good as Fashion Outlets, but the discounts are very substantial. This premium outlet has many locations throughout North America.
Opened in August 2013, Fashion Outlets is close to the airport, making it the nearest outlet to the city center. It offers a diverse range of brands to choose from, including popular mid-to-high-end brands such as Gucci, Prada, and Longchamp.
