Mingcui Lake National Wetland Park
Located in Zhangzheng Town, Xingqing District, Yinchuan City, Ningxia, it is 9 kilometers away from Yinchuan City and 3 kilometers from the Yellow River. It is the third national wetland park named by the State Forestry Administration after Jiangsu Qinhai and Hangzhou Xixi National Wetland Parks, and the first national wetland park in the Yellow River Basin and western regions. It enjoys the reputation of being one of the 'Six Most Beautiful Wetland Parks in China'.
Helan Mountain Rock Art Scenic Area
In ancient times, Helan Mountain was a place where northern ethnic minorities such as the Xiongnu, Xianbei, Turkic, Uyghur, Tibetan, and Tangut peoples lived, hunted, and thrived. They carved scenes of their daily lives onto the rock walls of Helan Mountain to express their longing and pursuit of a better life, reflecting the aesthetic tastes and social customs of the time. The heart of Helan Mountain stretches over 200 kilometers from north to south, with only about 20 rock paintings remaining. The most typical ones are the Helankou rock paintings. In terms of themes, content, and expression techniques, the Helankou rock paintings are very rich and imaginative, giving people a sincere, intimate, solemn, and pure feeling.
Nanxun Gate is one of the six major gates of the ancient city of Yinchuan, commonly known as the 'South Gate Tower.' It is the venue for major celebrations and gatherings in Yinchuan City. The entire structure is meticulously designed, with painted eaves, red walls, and green tiles, exuding grandeur. It is often referred to as the 'Little Tiananmen.'
Yuhuang Pavilion South
Yuhuang Pavilion is located at the intersection of Jiefang East Street and Yuhuang Pavilion South-North Street in Xingqing District, Yinchuan. The exact date of the temple's initial construction is unknown. According to the Ming Dynasty's 'Hongzhi Ningxia New Records' city map, the current location of Yuhuang Pavilion was where the Drum Tower of the Ming Dynasty's prefectural city was situated. It was destroyed by an earthquake in the 37th year of the Qianlong reign (1739) of the Qing Dynasty and was rebuilt as 'Yuhuang Pavilion'. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the 'Yinchuan Xiaozhi' recorded: 'It is extremely grand and spacious, with offerings to the True Martial Emperor.' Since then, it has been known as Yuhuang Pavilion.
Yinchuan Nanguan Mosque is a building with Persian style and ethnic characteristics, rebuilt in 1981. It is located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Yuhuangge North Street and Nanxun East Street in Xingqing District, Yinchuan City. It is the central place for religious activities of the Hui people in Yinchuan.
Suyukou National Forest Park
Suyukou National Forest Park is located within the Helan Mountain National Nature Reserve, 50 kilometers northwest of Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia. The park features majestic mountains, dense forests, beautiful natural scenery, and unique cultural landscapes. Covering an area of 9,300 hectares with a vegetation coverage rate of 70%, it is home to over 800 species of wild plants and animals, making it a famous ecological tourism destination in Ningxia.
