Yuntai Mountain
Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area is located in Xiuwu County, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, 50 kilometers away from the urban area of Jiaozuo. Covering a total area of 280 square kilometers, it is a popular science and ecological tourism area that features the mountain and water scenery of the Taihang Mountains, with canyon geological landscapes and historical culture as its core, combining scientific and aesthetic values. The main attractions include Hongshi Gorge, Tanpu Gorge, Quanpu Gorge, Qinglong Gorge, Fenglin Gorge, Zifang Lake, Zhuyu Peak, Diecai Cave, Monkey Valley, Baijia Rock, and Wanshan Temple. The scenic area is named for its steep mountains and the clouds and mist that often shroud the peaks and valleys.
Shenlong Mountain Scenic Area
Shennong Mountain is a national 5A-level scenic tourist area, located in Zhaozhai Village, Ziling Town, Qinyang City, Henan Province, at the border with Dihe Village, Shanhe Town, Jincheng City. The Shennong Mountain Scenic Area covers an area of 102 square kilometers. According to legend, Emperor Yan Shennong once identified grains, tasted herbs, and held rituals to worship the heavens here, hence the name Shennong Mountain. Shennong Mountain is one of the world's first geoparks, a priority protection area of the World Nature Fund Organization, a national key scenic spot, and a national macaque nature reserve.
Qinglong Gorge
Jiaozuo Qinglong Gorge has a unique climate, beautiful mountains and rivers, and a pleasant environment. It is a natural 'oxygen bar' and an excellent destination for primitive ecological tourism. Qinglong Gorge is a natural landscape scenic area that integrates various landforms such as peaks, cliffs, ridges, summits, terraces, valleys, streams, rivers, waterfalls, and caves. In 2000, it was designated as a scenic spot in Henan Province, with a total area of 108 square kilometers. It consists of seven major tourist areas: Qinglong Gorge, Jingying Gorge, Yingsi Basin, Shuangmiao, Monkey Valley, Matou Mountain, and Dashannao, with more than 100 main attractions. The main peak, Qinglong Peak, has an altitude of 1323 meters. Standing on the ridge summit, one feels a sense of 'seeing the world at a glance'; the magnificent Wanglong Waterfall, the magical and unique Reversed Flow Spring, the indescribable Seven-color Pool, the unique 'Spring and Autumn on the Rock', the distinctive karst cave landscape, and the natural primitive plant communities together form a series of highly creative landscape paintings.
The Jiaozuo Qingtian River Scenic Area boasts beautiful mountains and rivers, with a long history and splendid culture. Every corner is a scenic spot, and every step is like a painting. It is a place that combines natural beauty and cultural heritage, blending the water town of Jiangnan with the pastoral scenery of the northern country. It is known as the 'Three Gorges of the North'.
Jingying Temple
This place features a naturally formed 100-acre basin, surrounded by 30 square kilometers of mountains and waters, with streams and waterfalls crisscrossing the area, earning it the nickname 'Paradise on Earth.' It is home to the northernmost wild monkey group in China, the largest Pinus bungeana in Henan Province, the stunning peak forest landscape of the southern Taihang Mountains, and the world-renowned oxbow valley geological wonder. The scenic area combines magnificent mountains, karst caves, waterfalls, flowing springs, ancient temples, Jing Lake, white pines, secluded valleys, and stone carvings, and is praised as a 'natural oxygen bar' and 'blessed land.'
