L'Éclair de Génie offers what is considered the best éclair in Paris. It was founded by pastry master Christophe Adam in 2013, who has developed a total of 84 flavors: Japanese yuzu, raspberry, passion fruit, kumquat, wild strawberry, and more. The flavors change with the seasons, and each éclair is priced between 4.5 to 5 euros.
La Pâtisserie des Rêves was founded by the 'Beast of Pastry' master Philippe Conticini. It sells traditional cream puffs and ring-shaped puffs. The ring-shaped puff is said to have been invented by a dessert shop located on the route of a bicycle race held in Paris in 1891, inspired by the wheels of bicycles. What's special about it? It's very delicious!
Patisserie Yann Couvreur
The head chef of this pastry shop, Yann Couvreur, is the latest 'prodigy' in the French dessert world. The desserts in the shop are reasonably priced but extraordinarily delicious, making it an instant new hotspot for Parisians to queue up.
The desserts at the two-Michelin-starred restaurant Le Meurice in Paris are definitely worth trying. The pastry chef, Cédric Grolet, is the man who created the 'Rubik's Cube' (27 pieces of ice cakes with different flavors, including cherry dragon fruit, apricot and rosemary, as well as chocolate peanut flavor).
