Shanhaiguan - The First Pass Under Heaven
Shanhaiguan, also known as Shanhaiguan District or 'Yuguan', is a national model scenic tourist area. Located 15 kilometers northeast of Qinhuangdao City in Hebei Province, it gathers the essence of the ancient Great Wall of China and is one of the northeastern passes of the Ming Great Wall. Before 1990, it was considered the eastern starting point of the Ming Great Wall and is known as 'The First Pass Under Heaven'.
Beidaihe Seaside (including Dove Nest Park)
Beidaihe Seaside is located in the western part of Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, only 2-3 hours' drive from Beijing, Tianjin, and other places. It features beautiful beaches and a cool climate, making it one of China's most famous summer resorts and health retreats. The area experiences no extreme heat in summer and no severe cold in winter. Backed by the lush Lianfeng Mountain, the natural environment is beautiful. Together with Beijing, Tianjin, Qinhuangdao, Xingcheng, and Huludao, it forms a golden tourist belt, with Beidaihe as a key node in this belt.
Chengde Mountain Resort
The Mountain Resort is one of the three major ancient architectural complexes in China. Its most distinctive feature is that there are gardens within the mountains and mountains within the gardens. There are more than 120 groups of buildings, among which Emperor Kangxi named 36 scenes with four characters each, and Emperor Qianlong named another 36 scenes with three characters each. These are the famous 72 scenes of the resort.
Baiyangdian
Anxin Baiyangdian Scenic Area, located in the central part of Hebei Province, is the largest inland lake in Hebei with a total area of 366 square kilometers. It is situated in the heart of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, 189 kilometers south of Shijiazhuang, 162 kilometers north of Beijing, and 155 kilometers east of Tianjin. Anxin Baiyangdian Scenic Area is a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction. The area has been famous since ancient times for its rich resources and beautiful scenery, earning the reputation of 'a place where gold flows in daily' and 'autumn all year round'. It is praised in poetry as the 'Jiangnan of the North' and celebrated in songs as the 'land of fish and rice'. Jiang Zemin personally inscribed it as the 'Pearl of North China'.
Yesanpo is a famous tourist destination in northern China, featuring a national key scenic spot. The area is known for its unique natural landscapes, pristine ecological environment, distinctive ancient historical relics, and rich ethnic customs. Bailixia, praised as 'the world's first gorge,' is one of the unique attractions in Yesanpo.
Laiyuan Baishishan National Geopark
Baishishan Scenic Area, also known as Baishishan National Geopark, is located 15 kilometers south of Laiyuan County. It is named after the numerous white marble stones in the area, showcasing majestic, unique, and perilous mountain landscapes. The mountain is grand, featuring 'three peaks, six terraces, nine valleys, and eighty-one summits.' The main ridge line extends over 7000 meters, with the highest peak reaching an altitude of 2096 meters, making it the dragon head of the northwestern uplift of the North China Plain.
Yudaokou Grassland Forest Scenic Area
It is an excellent destination for ecological tourism, including grassland sightseeing, bird watching, horseback riding, fishing, boating, bonfire entertainment, off-road racing, scientific exploration, leisure vacation, conferences, ice skating, skiing, and hunting.
