East Side Gallery
The East Side Gallery is a gallery consisting of different themed paintings created by 180 artists from 21 countries on the Berlin Wall. From the graffiti on the wall, one can feel people's memories and commemoration of that past history, as well as their belief in and pursuit of love and peace.
In the park, you can see the original appearance of the Berlin Wall: it is not just a wall, but a whole set of fortifications consisting of watchtowers, concrete walls, open areas, and anti-vehicle trenches. Additionally, there are various exhibitions in the open-air area that tell the stories of the divided period.
Berlin Wall Memorial
This vast open-air memorial helps people understand how the Berlin Wall suddenly divided the city. It documents the disasters and sufferings Berlin endured through artistic means.
