Hongjialou Church
There are not many landmark buildings in Jinan, and Hongjialou Catholic Church is one of them. It is one of the three famous Catholic churches in China, featuring a European twin-tower Gothic architectural style. The entire building is grand and magnificent, with meticulously carved details that are very exquisite. The most beautiful part of this Gothic church is its splendid stained glass windows, which offer a better viewing experience inside, along with exquisite murals and sculptures.
Daming Lake
Entering from the south gate is the new scenic area of Daming Lake. The old scenic area of Daming Lake has an entrance fee of 30 yuan, while the new scenic area is free. Due to its location in the north, especially with the unappealing winter climate, Daming Lake is not as beautiful as West Lake. However, its origin is quite remarkable, as Daming Lake is formed by the convergence of numerous springs in Jinan.
Known as the first tower north of the Yangtze River, although it has been rebuilt, it still belongs to a historic famous tower. It was originally built in the Yuan Dynasty, and many famous scholars of the Ming and Qing Dynasties left a large number of poems and essays here. Standing on the top of Chaoran Tower and looking around, it is also the highest point by Daming Lake. As one of the eight scenic spots in the expanded new area of Daming Lake, 'Chaoran Zhiyuan', you can walk around along the long corridor, enjoying a 360-degree unbeatable lake view, truly living up to its name.
The mountain paths of Qianfoshan are extensive and interconnected. If you have time and good physical strength, you can explore thoroughly, but it might take more than a day. If the weather is good, you can visit Qianfoshan at night to see the night view of Spring City, which is definitely beautiful.
Lishan Courtyard
Lishan Courtyard in Xingguo is well-connected by roads, commonly known as such. It is said that those with good physical strength, like Qianlong, can take a good tour, but it is estimated that even a day is not enough to see everything. If you visit Lishan on a clear day, you can see the spring city from the foot of the mountain, and it is definitely worth praising.
Xingguo Zen Temple is exquisitely built, with a fragrant aroma and a grand atmosphere. Having visited many temples, this Xingguo Zen Temple is quite good. Although it is not well-known and the temple buildings are not large in scale, the structure is particularly compact, and the religious atmosphere is particularly strong. Especially at night, the commercial atmosphere of the daytime scenic area is reduced, adding a sense of solemnity to the temple after returning to its true essence.
