Mingcui Lake National Wetland Park
Mingcui Lake, which integrates the landscapes of the Loess Plateau, the Yellow River, lakes, reeds, and wetlands. The average altitude is 1,100 meters above sea level. It is connected to Yinheng Road in the north, Yongning Central Drainage Ditch in the south, Huinong Canal in the east, and Hanyan Canal one kilometer to the west. There are large fish ponds and rice fields around the lake, with a sparse population. Zhangzheng Town is about one kilometer away from Mingcui Lake. Mingcui Lake has a unique geographical location and significant importance, serving as the wetland ecological function area in the eastern part of Yinchuan City.
Nanxun Gate is one of the six major gates of the ancient city of Yinchuan, commonly known as 'South Gate Tower'. It is located at the intersection of Nanxun Road and South Zhongshan Street in the old city of Yinchuan. The gate tower faces south with a spacious square in front, serving as a venue for major celebrations and gatherings in Yinchuan.
Yinchuan Ningyuan, also known as 'Jiexin Park', is located on the south side of Jiefang East Street in Xingqing District, Yinchuan City. It is the earliest small garden in Ningxia, mainly featuring Qing Dynasty-style ancient buildings, and was completed in early October 1987. Entering the park from the west gate, you will find yourself amidst bonsai. The main buildings include 'Xingqing Hall', 'Qinming Pavilion', steles, corridors, and a pond. Ningyuan is quite lively in the evening, serving as a place for people to chat. Inside, there are vendors selling calligraphy, various stones, and snacks. Singing and storytelling also become active at night.
Suyukou National Forest Park
Located in the suburbs of Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia, Suyukou National Forest Park in Helan Mountain is the closest national forest park to a provincial capital city in China. Attractions here include the Helan Mountain Museum, Sanqing Temple, Cherry Valley, and Helan Mountain Pass.
Gunzongkou Scenic Area
Located 33 kilometers from Yinchuan city center, it is situated on the eastern foothills of the central section of Helan Mountain in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It is named Gunzongkou because it is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with the eastern mountain pass shaped like a large bell, and a small hill in the center of the scenic area resembling a bell clapper. The Gunzongkou Scenic Area covers an area of about 2 square kilometers. To the north of the main valley, Xiaokou Valley, there is a temple. To the west of Shunkou Valley, there is a large rock with the inscription 'Xishuang Pavilion,' and on both sides of the valley, there are many temple ruins.
