Five major characteristic stations of Chongqing Light Rail

The "magical" and "3D" terrain of Chongqing is perfectly embodied in its rail transit system. From sky to underground, and through buildings and over rivers, Chongqing's rail transit not only serves as a convenient tool for commuting, but also a must-see attraction for visitors.

Feature: Running through the building. Can you imagine a train running through a building? Li Zi Ba Station on Line 2 is such an incredible site. The sixth floor is the station hall, the seventh floor is the equipment floor, and the eighth floor is the platform level, with trains passing through the eighth floor every few minutes. You may wonder if the train's movement would disturb the residents inside the building. The rubber tires and independent support columns of the monorail train can reduce vibration and noise, allowing the shops on floors 1-5 and the residences on floors 9-19 to operate and live normally.

Safe Station

Characteristic: 90-degree turn. The track in the mountain city of Chongqing winds along the mountain terrain, with the sharpest bend located between Line 2 at Ping'an Road and Dadukou. The bend is approximately 90 degrees, resembling a thrilling roller coaster ride. Fortunately, sitting inside the train still feels safe and stable.

Niujiaotuo Station

Features: Enjoy the view of the Jialing River. Lines 2 and 3, which run along the river and cross its surface, intersect at Niujiaotuo Station. Visitors can stroll or stop at the glass corridor at the transfer station, where they can take in the magnificent views of the Jialing River and the bustling cityscape. Besides being known for a lonely tree on the South Mountain, Niujiaotuo Station is also a popular spot for night viewing, with dazzling lights reflecting off the rippling river. The scene of trains passing through buildings at Liziba Station can also be captured on the platform of Line 3.

Huanghuayuan Station

Only in hilly and lush mountain cities will there be stations like Huanghuayuan Station. True to its name, Huanghuayuan Station is like a secret garden, with a winding path leading to the entrance.

Martyr's Tomb

Line 1 Martyrs' Cemetery Station has a graffiti area of 5000 square meters, ranking first in the country. On the ceiling of the station hall, an eagle soars in the blue sky and white clouds; on the exit stairs, the bright yellow patterns are especially eye-catching against the dark background.
