Shambhala Seven Lakes
Shambhala Seven Lakes is the most typical representative of this glacial lake wonder. In Tibetan Buddhism, these seven lakes are considered to be the 'Seven Pure Waters' offered to the Buddha and are renowned as 'Heavenly Lakes'. The Seven Lakes consist of seven glacial cirque lakes and glacial barrier lakes arranged in a string-like pattern, including Ruicuo. These seven alpine glacial lakes vary in shape, and the basins are connected by waterfalls or meandering rivers, creating a very beautiful and spectacular scene. This is also an excellent spot to view the three sacred mountains of Daocheng Yading from a distance. Looking southeast from the west bank of the Seven Lakes, the 'Three Guardian Snow Mountains' of Daocheng Yading perfectly complement the Shambhala Seven Lakes, forming a perfect realm of 'Sacred Mountains' and 'Holy Waters'.
