The Houbi Lake sea area is a famous water play area in Kenting. During the peak water play season, it always attracts a large number of water-loving crowds. The seabed, ranging from 3m to about 16m deep, is home to a large number of stony corals and various types of soft corals. Occasionally, you can also find the rare five-armed starfish that are not commonly seen in other sea areas. Divers often feed fish near the coral reefs here, and you can frequently see species such as the four-lined snapper, the single-spotted dragonet, the striped bass, the fire snapper, the yellow-footed snapper, and the light-gilled snapper. These fish are abundant and not afraid of humans.
Da Laogu Slope
This place is named after the two reefs 'Da Laogu' and 'Xiao Laogu' that emerge above the water surface. On this vast underwater platform, soft corals are the dominant benthic organisms. Various fleshy soft corals grow densely, covering more than 80% of the substrate surface, resembling a carpet. Tropical fish swim leisurely above, creating a beautiful underwater landscape. 'Da Laogu' features a sloping terrain rich in corals, including various soft and stony corals. Sea pens, garden eels, and sea slugs can be found here. 'Xiao Laogu' has a fault terrain, with many sun coral polyps visible on the rock walls. Groups of soft corals grow on the rock walls, and species such as golden bass, three-spot damselfish, wrasse, butterflyfish, and parrotfish swim among them.
Hejie Shipwreck

The shallow reef area has a high coral coverage, and the further south you go, the more diverse the coral species, primarily hard corals. At this dive site, you can see glowing flame scallops in the rock crevices and may also spot adorable clownfish.
